Now updated and upgraded, this new version has become the āPirateā and the first of an exciting new range of offshore lure casting rods we call the 'Sea Breed'. Rods for tuna, mackerel, trevally and others.
The Pirate 772XH is as versatile as they come. The powerful action will cast a huge range of lures and has enough tip power for popping. The 7ā7ā length is capable of good casting distance, yet not too long to be tiring to use.
The blank construction is from graphites blended specifically for this model that provide a well-balanced high-performance tool that is also robust.
The 2pc blank construction with removable handle means that transport and storage is extremely easy with a packed length of only 1.7m.
Fitted with x-hard Camoufish EVA thatās custom shaped for fish fighting the rear grip is also shaped to be compatible with rod holders. The Fuji pipe reel seat has the LD extended locking hood, and alloy extension to ensure all reels can be easily fitted, and the Fuji BRC butt cap is as comfortable as always.
Ianās guide train of choice for this rod is a combination of Fuji āSlim Ringā SiC ceramics; an āMNā style stripper guide that accepts high speed line during the cast without frame touch, with balance being KW style for tangle-free operation. This gives smooth casting, excellent knot clearance and low line friction, using the latest grey metal stainless steel frame finish.
Millerods recommends the use of the FG knot for connecting braided fishing lines to monofilament leaders. All Ianās lure casting guide trains are selected with this connecting knot in mind.
